GORE-TEX Camouflage & Suede Work Gloves

Image of GORE-TEX Camouflage & Suede Work Gloves

Berlin, Wisconsin, a quaint Midwestern town, was once a hotbed of soft goods manufacturing. Workwear and hunting gear factories dotted the strip where antique stores and bed and breakfasts now reside. These gloves, known as "High Knockers", come from the now-defunct Berlin Glove Co.

GORE-TEX, the waterproof material first patented in 1980, revolutionized winter wear. Utilizing the chemical constituents of Teflon, GORE-TEX is basically thinly stretched sheets of a very maleable plastic. Think of it as the thinnest, softest, and toughest garbage bags you could possibly find. You can rest assured, these gloves will keep you dry and warm while in the midst of the dampest of duties.

With a khaki-ground, cloud-like camouflage dyed into the GORE-TEX fabric on the back of the hand, and hairy, carmel-colored suede on the fingers and palms, this is a great everyday glove, as comfortable in the grandstands as it it in the garage.
